This coming winter, Cranberry Township will have a new weapon in its arsenal to fight snow and ice on its roads — a brand-new 10-ton Peterbilt truck.

The township first ordered the truck in January of this year and is expecting to take delivery of it “in the coming months.” The new truck will replace a 1985 Mack truck which has served the township for nearly four decades.

The new truck only needs an Epoke salt spreader to complete its upgrade.
