Helicopter called to 2-vehicle crash in Jefferson Township

JEFFERSON TWP — A helicopter and multiple ambulances were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson Township on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 12.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Saxonburg Road and Lefever Lane and was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Fire police from the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company set up roadblocks along Saxonburg Road, including at the three-way intersection at Hannahstown Road and Great Belt Road.

In addition to the fire department, ambulance services from Butler and Freeport responded to the scene. A LifeFlight helicopter also was called to assist.

It is not yet known how many occupants were involved in the crash, how many were injured, or the extent of their injuries.
