Valencia man charged in relation to Callery burglary
A Valencia man was charged with felony burglary late last month in relation to an Oct. 11 incident in Callery.
Ryan James Mauro, 30, was charged Oct. 29 with counts including felony criminal mischief and summary disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after law enforcement responded to find a home and vehicles damaged.
Police said that upon arriving at the home, a state trooper discovered damage to two vehicles and the home.
Both vehicles had flat tires, and one of the vehicles also had the door handles on the same side glued shut, police said. The other had something poured into the gas tank, detected by the residue left on the side of the vehicle, according to the affidavit.
The front door of the home also was damaged, with the keyhole and door frame both glued shut, police said.
Damage is estimated to be approximately $7,000.
Police said the residents identified Mauro as the person who damaged the house and vehicles.
Charges were filed against Mauro with the Evans City District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz on Oct 29. No court date has yet been set.
