Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Lynn
Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Lynn, 79, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 23, 1945, in Oil City, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and the late Nellie (Bender) Poorman.
Betty was a 1963 graduate of Oil City High School. She worked for Mellon Bank in Saxonburg as a teller for more than 30 years until her retirement. Betty enjoyed reading, playing games, doing things on her computer and going to her grandson's baseball games.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Lynn, and his wife, Kathy, of Butler; and her grandson, Ryan Lynn.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lynn, whom she married on July 25, 1964, and who passed away March 4, 1994; two brothers; William and Richard Poorman; and one sister, Mary Sallade.
LYNN — Family and friends of Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Lynn, who died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, are invited to a memorial visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor David Phillips, of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church of Butler, officiating.
Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert, in Butler County Memorial Park.
