NCAA Division II football playoff brackets set: Slippery Rock to host New Haven in first round

Slippery Rock football earned the No. 4 seed in Super Region One in the NCAA Division II tournament and will host an opponent it already beat this season.
The Rock will face No. 5 New Haven (8-2) at 1 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the playoffs. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
SRU (9-1, 5-1 PSAC) beat the Northeast 10 Conference champion 22-7 in the season opener.
The winner will face the region’s top seed, PSAC champion Kutztown (11-0) on Nov. 30 in the second round.
SRU finished the regular season Saturday with its third straight win, 27-7 over Bloomsburg, to secure a playoff spot and, it turns out, home-field advantage in the first round.
