The Butler County Fire Chiefs Association has put out a call through social media for any property owners in the county who have any “structurally safe” homes or any other properties that are marked for demolition in the near future. The fire chiefs are looking for properties to hold firefighter training.

One such exercise was held in March at the former domiciliary building at the VA Butler Healthcare complex, a three-story building that had been abandoned for over a decade and was demolished shortly after the training exercise was complete.

The fire chiefs are inviting interested parties to private message them through their Facebook page.
