Ruth Lorraine (Marburger) Blank, 87, of Evans City, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024.

She was born in Evans City on March 31, 1937, to Harry Lester Marburger and Mary Elizabeth (Baker) Marburger. She married James R. Blank on Feb. 14, 1959.

Ruth worked as a preschool teacher’s aide at Westminster Presbyterian Church Preschool in Evans City for 22 years.

She was a loving wife and homemaker.

She enjoyed card club, water aerobics, puzzles, crafting and camping. Most of all, she appreciated spending quality time together with her family.

She leaves behind loved ones, including her husband, James; her daughters, Candace L. (Timothy) Lefever of Butler, Christina L. Cromer of Evans City and Carin L. (Charles) Rasp of Evans City; her sons, Michael J. (Susan) Blank of Evans City and Matthew J. Blank of Prospect; her brothers, Edward (Sylvia) Marburger of Renfrew and Robert Marburger of Evans City; three grandchildren, Sydney (Paul) Merten of Evans City, Cassandra Lefever of Hanover, Md., and Maggie (Dallas) Bittner of Renfrew; three great-grandchildren, Betty, Paul IV and Dallas Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Marburger; and her brother, Wayne Marburger.

BLANK — The family of Ruth Lorraine (Marburger) Blank, who died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, at 116 E. Main St., Evans City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be donated to the Evans City Public Library.
