Christopher Green
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher John Green, 51, of Joppa, Md., formerly of Fenelton, after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024.
He was a 1991 graduate of Butler High School and a very proud graduate of Penn State University (We ARE!).
Chris is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Green, and his stepsons, Ryan T. Henkin, Brandon D. Kays and Evan M. Kays. Chris was born in 1973, the son of John P. Green and Kathy Green of Butler County.
In addition to his parents, Chris also leaves behind his siblings, Greg Green (Amanda), Michelle A. Buzard (Anthony) and Debbie M. Fallecker (Ben). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family who will miss him dearly, including his goddaughter, Samantha Tucker.
His career as a plastics engineer with Graham Packaging was a true passion, allowing him to travel across the country while doing work he loved.
Chris eagerly anticipated hunting season, cherishing the special week spent with his close-knit college “framily.” He also took great joy in playfully cheering against his wife during the rivalry matchups between the Steelers and Ravens.
