Driver injured, charged with DUI in Summit Twp. accident
One driver was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and charged with driving under the influence after a single-car accident in Summit Township shortly shortly before 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.
Colton Miner, 24, of East Butler, was traveling north on Geibel Road when he steered his Ford C-Max into the rail of a bridge near the intersection of Geibel and Heist roads, according to a police report. Police said the vehicle then overturned and landed in a small stream.
Miner was transported by the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department to Butler Memorial Hospital with “suspected serious injury.” Police said Miner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Miner was charged with driving under the influence.
Miner’s was the only vehicle involved in the accident, and no other occupants were listed as being in the vehicle.
