Clinton Twp. forecasts slight surplus in 2025 budget
CLINTON TWP — Township manager Ashley Kohley put the draft version of Clinton Township’s 2025 budget before the board of supervisors and the public at the monthly agenda-setting meeting Monday, Nov. 25.
As of the most-recent revision, the township expects a slight surplus for 2025, with projected revenue totaling $1,715,240 and projected expenditures adding up to $1,714,240 — a surplus of $1,000.
As with most townships, the bulk of revenue — $788,860 — is projected to come from taxes. Another $618,880 is projected to come from “state revenue,” $176,000 is earmarked as “charges for services,” and $64,100 is budgeted under “interest, rents, and royalties.”
The top expenditure in the township’s draft 2025 budget is public works road projects, with $1,122,018 budgeted. These include $583,000 earmarked for the resurfacing of Monks, Spring Valley and Anderson roads, and $250,000 for rehabilitating Victory Road bridge. Another $293,662 is set aside for “general government.”
Included within the revenue figures is a PennDOT Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for $408,000, which was approved for the township in August. The grant, when it comes through, will provide for the Monks/Spring Valley/Anderson road project once the township provides a 30% match.
The 2025 budget is expected to be finalized and approved at a special budget meeting Dec. 23.
