Philip Triggs
Philip A. Triggs, 99, formerly of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024.
He was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Madison Wis., a son of the late William R. Triggs and Phyllis (Tincham) Triggs. He had lived in Monroeville for 40 years prior to moving to Butler.
He retired from Frito Lay after 24 years of service in 1988. He also worked for Sears & Borden’s in Madison, Wis.
Philip served in the U.S. Navy and Seabees from June of 1944 until June of 1946.
He is survived by his son, Thomas, and wife, Linda; also son, Norman; his daughter Diane, and husband, Charles; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Richard Becker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Triggs; two daughters, Mary Ellen Triggs and Cathy Becker; and five brothers, Donald, Raymond, Stephen, Stanley and Gregory.
TRIGGS — Friends of Philip A. Triggs, who died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler (Meridian). Burial will be in Northside Cemetery, Butler.
