Kretzer

Merle K. Kretzer, 82, of Prospect, Muddy Creek Township, passed away on Friday morning, Nov. 29, 2024, at Orchard Manor in Grove City.

Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Merle and Catherine Criswell Kretzer.

Merle was a heavy equipment operator for Pitell Homes in Pittsburgh.

He loved cutting grass.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra L. Baumgartel Kretzer, whom he married on March 18, 1988; his children, Mark Kretzer (Cheryl) of Saxonburg, Matthew Kretzer (Heather) of Butler and Melissa Wolf (Robert) of Butler; and his grandchildren, Casey, Collin, Hayden, Jesse, Landon, Gregory, Anna (Tony) and Robert. He also is survived by his sister, Karen Peterman (John) of Mars; two sisters-in-law, Alesia Scheffel (James) of Washington, Pa., and Zeme Joa (Nils) of Harmony; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maura Kretzer; a grandchild, Ashtin; and a great-grandchild, Archer.

KRETZER — Friends of Merle K. Kretzer, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Mars Cemetery, Dobson Road, Mars.
