Cranberry Police charge Beaver County woman with theft from Cranberry dental office
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Cranberry Police filed more than 35 felony charges against a former employee of Cranberry Dental Arts accused of accessing company software and using the information gained to rob the business of more than $1,500.
Ciara Denise Stawarz, 33, of Harmony, was an office employee for approximately one year at the practice located in the Cranberry Shoppes but left her job suddenly in late September.
Dr. Dhleep Jinna, who owns the practice, notified police Oct. 20 that two burglaries had been discovered, one on Oct. 13 and another on Oct 17.
Police said a review of surveillance video showed Stawarz, wearing a black wig and surgical mask, using keys to enter the office after business hours on Oct. 13.
The recordings show Stawarz removing cash from an envelope kept in one of the office drawers, and on Oct. 17, Stawarz could be seen using a desktop computer before leaving the business, according to court documents.
Amounts taken were $1,193 on Oct. 13 and $450 on Oct 17.
