Virginia “Ginny” McCracken

Virginia “Ginny” McCracken, 78, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.

She was born in Butler on June 7, 1946, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Weidenhof) Savannah. Virginia was a 1966 graduate of Butler Senior High School. She was married to her loving husband, the late Larry McCracken, who passed away on Dec. 24, 2011.

Virginia, in her earlier years, worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress. She more recently was employed under the senior aide program. She was a people person who liked to remain active. Virginia enjoyed cooking, listening to music, watching the soap opera “The Bold and Beautiful,” taking walks, and decorating her home for the different seasons and holidays.

She is survived by her companion, Michael Brown; her brothers, Ronald (late, Norma) Savannah and George (Betty) Savannah; sisters, Cecelia (late, Anthony Jr.) Grenek, Marsha (late, Ken) Bauer and her companion, Gary Bosley; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Marie (late, Michael) Spohn and Carolyn (late, Joseph) Zupan.

MCCRACKEN — All services for Virginia “Ginny” McCracken, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
