High school roundup: Tornado rule the lanes vs. Blackhawk

Both Butler bowling teams began the season on a high note by defeating Blackhawk at Family Bowlaway on Wednesday.

The girls, led by Makenzie Zimmerman’s 586 series and high game of 218, swept the Cougars 7-0.

The Golden Tornado boys topped Blackhawk 6-1 due in large part to Micah Potts, who rolled a 636 series, including a 274 in the third game.

Greg Wilbert’s 607 series featured a game of 243.
