Srock

James D. Srock, 63, of Valencia, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y. on Aug. 30, 1961, he was the son of the late Delmar James Srock and Elizabeth Mullner Srock.

He was the beloved husband for 37 years of Marie Merritt Srock; loving father of James Srock (Katelyn), Angela Srock and Jessica Srock; and brother of Christopher Srock (Diane) and Kevin Srock (Jennifer).

Jim earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for many years in the medical device and health care fields. He worked for several companies, including Omnicell, R&Q, Renal Solutions, Medrad and Contraves.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and bird watching, and especially loved sharing these adventures with his family and friends. Loved by all who knew him, Jim was a great mentor and leader, known for his wisdom, quick wit and intelligence, and unwavering loyalty. He will be greatly missed.

SROCK — Friends of James D. Srock, who died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
