Pennsylvania Moose Association to present Braille flag to Butler VA

The Pennsylvania Moose Association, along with the American Braille Flag Project, will present a bronze American Braille flag at the Abie Abraham VA Health Center in Center Township.

The bronze Braille flag features 50 raised stars, as well as the Pledge of Allegiance in Braille, allowing visually-impaired veterans to experience the national symbols. The presentation of the Braille flag will take place at 1 p.m. Dec. 13 and is by invitation only.

The first Braille American flag was created in 2008 by Randolph Cabral, the son of a blind World War II veteran and president of the Kansas Braille Transcription Institute.
