Police Reports

The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Slippery Rock University police

Oct. 30 — Aubrey L. Peterson, 19, of Titusville, was charged with misdemeanor DUI in relation to an Oct. 27 traffic stop on South Main Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed Peterson was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.042%. In Pennsylvania, drivers under 21 are not permitted to have any alcohol in their system.

State Police, Butler

Nov. 1 — Raymond A. Watson, 58, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of trespass and stalking related to an Oct. 14 incident on Gilbert Road in Concord Township. Police said Watson repeatedly visited a home on the road despite being asked to stay away multiple times. Police said Watson would tell the homeowner, “that he will get his house back somehow.”

Oct. 30 — Christopher M. Hart, 48, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to an Oct. 22 reported disturbance at a home on Bennett Drive in Forward Township. Police said Hart appeared to have a cut on his head but would not say how it happened. Police said they talked with his girlfriend, who claimed Hart had punched her in the face causing bruising to her chin and face.

Oct. 30 — Kenny L. Brown, 39, of Williamsfield, Ohio, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession related to an April 29 report of a driver slumped behind the wheel on McCoy Road in Worth Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Brown was impaired. Police said Brown later refused to have his blood tested and to have his vehicle searched. Police said after getting a warrant, troopers found a bag of suspected meth and a glass bong in the vehicle.

Oct. 29 — Robert W. Beatty III, 52, of Saxonburg, was charged with misdemeanor DUI in relation to an Oct. 27 two-vehicle crash on Freeport Road in Summit Township. Police said Beatty’s vehicle hit the rear of another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. Police said field sobriety tests showed Beatty was impaired. Police said Beatty later refused to have his breath tested.

Oct. 29 — Zachary T. Cairns, 37, of Brackenridge, was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of making false statements related to a July 31 attempted gun purchase at Rural King in Center Township. Police said Cairns failed to list his criminal history on the application.

Oct. 29 — Lisa M. Myers, 44, of Brady, was charged with misdemeanor DUI in relation to a Sept. 19 report of a drunken woman in a vehicle on Jamison Street in Petrolia. Police said Myers stumbled when trying to walk, and a later breath test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.98%. In Pennsylvania, 0.08% is the legal limit.

Oct. 29 — David L. Herold, 39, of Petrolia, was charged with misdemeanor counts DUI and drug paraphernalia possession related to a Sept. 17 report of an driver slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle on Petrolia Road. Police said field sobriety tests showed Herold was impaired, and a later blood test showed cocaine and fentanyl in his system. Police said they also found a suspected crack pipe in his pocket.

Oct. 29 — Troy S. Connelly, 63, of Cheswick, was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of making false statements related to a March 29 attempted gun purchase at Fenelton Firearms. Police said Connelly failed to list his criminal history on the application.

Oct. 29 — Julie A. Snow, 47, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI and drug paraphernalia possession related to a Sept. 11 traffic stop on North Main Street in Clay Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Snow was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana, meth and fentanyl in her system. Police said they also found a straw coated with white powder in her vehicle.

State Police, Liquor Control

Oct. 30 — Maurice A. Tinsley, 21, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor counts of selling and giving alcohol to a minor related to an Oct. 12 investigation at a store on Grove City Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said they followed Tinsley as he delivered alcohol to a pair of 18-year-olds.
