Graduation planned at SRU for Dec. 14
There are 540 students who are eligible for graduation at Slippery Rock University’s fall commencement ceremony, set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Morrow Field House.
Speakers at the ceremony will include SRU president Karen Riley; Dan Bauer, dean of the College of Liberal Arts; and Jeffrey Smith, of the council of trustees.
Larry McCarthy, assistant professor of accounting, economics and finance, will serve as grand marshal of the commencement ceremony, while several deans will present degrees to their students.
Emma Hicks, Logan Vokes, Megan Bliss, Emma North, Jacob Jedry, Grace Venatta and Alexander Hetzel will serve as the student marshals and flag bearers for the ceremony.
Electronic tickets are required for entry, with each graduate being provided up to four guest tickets.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on the university’s website for friends and family members without a ticket, unable to attend in person or who prefer to watch the ceremony online. There also will be a livestream viewing location on campus at the Russell Wright Alumni House.
