Francis Michael Pribila, beloved husband, father and grandfather, 75, of Franklin Township, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at his residence.

Born Oct. 24, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Michael and Angeline Cillo Pribila.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, who also served many years and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard.

Fran was an active member at St. Faustina Parish in Prospect, where he volunteered in many capacities and was always giving a helping hand.

He began his career as a machinist at US Steel in Pittsburgh. He then worked and retired from Curtiss-Wright in Cheswick, where he worked in the electro mechanical division. He most recently was working part-time at TSI in Prospect.

Fran loved working in his yard outside. He also enjoyed model railroads, collecting coins and target shooting. He was a member of the Moraine Sportsmen Club.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Kohl Pribila, who he married June 27, 1970; his children, Brian (Renel) Pribila of Butler, Sharon (Zach) Payer of Charleston, S.C., Susie (Vince) Leytrick of Saegertown, Pa., and Lauren (Carl) Coleman of Montgomery, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, Natalie (Roman) Black, Anthony Pribila, Matea Payer, Willow Payer, Ethan Leytrick, Maxim Leytrick, Jameson Leytrick, Riley Coleman, Caroline Coleman, Christian Coleman, Sophie Coleman and Charlotte Coleman; three sisters, Virginia Timmins of Pittsburgh, Deborah (Dave) Ardner of New Hampshire and Theresa (Dave) Dreher of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Pribila.

PRIBILA — Visitation for Francis Michael Pribila, who died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at St. Faustina Parish, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect, with the Rev. Father Adam M. Verona officiating.

Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
