Independence Health System to create data platform with company headquartered in Japan
Independence Health System announced it is teaming up with Japan-based global trading and investment company Mitsui & Co, to create a data platform for its operations.
The partnership will create Avehealth USA, an advanced data platform company focused on transforming health care delivery through advanced data analytics, integrated with patient, physician and other health care provider insights.
This collaboration will use the power of data to drive more efficient, personalized, and predictive care, improving the cost, quality and outcomes of care delivery for millions of patients.
Avehealth USA will provide the health system with the capabilities to aggregate and analyze data across diverse sources, providing a detailed, real-time view of patient health and system financial performance.
Mitsui & Co, headquartered in Japan, boasts of dozens of major subsidiaries & associated companies split between 16 of its business units, including mineral and metal resources, energy business, mobility, nutrition and agriculture, retail, wellness, IT and communication and more.
As of September, 84 of those associations are in Japan and another 212 are elsewhere.
The business was established in 1947 and is led by president and chief executive officer Kenichi Hori.
Mitsui & Co. has 125 offices in 61 countries and employs more than 5,000 people, according to its website. Its most recent company brochure indicates 21 of its offices are based in the Americas, which includes North and South America.
