See the scenes from Butler’s Doc Phillips JV Wrestling Tournament

Butler boys wrestling hosted the 19th annual George “Doc” Phillips JV Tournament on Saturday at Butler High School.

Thirteen schools competed in the event, including Butler County’s Summit Academy.

Butler won a handful of medals as the host.

Nathan Dickey won first in the 121-pound weight class with an 8-0 major decision over Clearfield’s David Magnuson. And Ace McElravy won at 215 with a 25-second pin of West Shamokin’s Rocko Buffone.

The Golden Tornado took second (Sutton Stoner) and fourth (Jeremiah Fines-Vargas) at 152, with Stoner losing the title match by pin and winning the second-place match. Charlie Rodgers earned fourth place at 139, Dennis Brunton (145) fifth place.

Summit Academy’s Rocco Zugai won at 127 with an 8-5 decision over Connellsville’s Lane Richey. Teammates Lance Zylstra took home fourth at 145; Gavin Sunafrank and Brent Toy grabbed fifth and sixth, respectively, at 172.
