Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl to spend Christmas with family after love child scandal
Musician Dave Grohl will spend Christmas with his wife and daughters as he works to keep the family intact after he admitted to fathering a child with another woman.
“They are all spending Christmas as a family,” a source told People.
Just three months ago, Grohl announced he had welcomed a daughter with someone other than his wife, Jordyn Blum. Married since 2003, the couple shares daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the Foo Fighters frontman wrote in an Instagram post in which he also confirmed that he plans to be “a loving and supportive parent” to the child born outside his marriage.
“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he added.
Soon after that, the Foo Fighters canceled the last scheduled date of their nationwide tour, a headliner performance at Connecticut’s Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport.
His reps did not comment on the Christmas plans.
Though Grohl retained a divorce attorney just before his September announcement, the former Nirvana drummer had stopped working with the person in November and remained committed to trying to work things out, according to reports.
“Dave’s been prioritizing his family,” a source told People. “He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”

Taylor Swift surprises fan who dubbed her hospital-visit outfit ‘tea’ with special gift
Taylor Swift brightened one young fan’s holidays with a touching gift after the teen declared her outfit “tea” during the star’s recent visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
It was a replica of the very outfit the singer wore during that visit earlier this month: a tartan Miu Miu set that includes a $2,250 pleated miniskirt and $2,250 button-down shirt, according to People.
The Grammy-winning artist visited the hospital the day before her Dec. 13 birthday, her 35th. She also donated $250,000 to Operation Breakthrough, a children’s educational nonprofit that boyfriend Travis Kelce has supported for a decade.
Among the many young patients she visited was a teen named Naya, who called the singer’s fetching outfit “tea” in a TikTok video of Swift signing a book for her that subsequently went viral.
“Thank you for saying my outfit was tea,” Swift said as she signed a copy of her Eras Tour book for the young patient, Naya.
“Everything about it — your hair!” Naya replied.
“You made my day with that,” Swift said, looking away from the book to smile at the girl.
On Sunday, an over-the-moon Naya posted a follow-up as she received a pile of packages, shocked to see the very same outfit she had complimented.
“She is soo amazing!” the girl captioned the emoji-packed video of her unboxing the bonanza. “I’m soo blessed, I love you Tay Swizzle you’re literally the Best!”
Swift had also written a personal, handwritten note.
“When you asked where I got it, I purposely didn’t tell you because I had a plan :),” Swift wrote. “Picked you up a few things I hope you’ll think are tea. Ha. … Merry Christmas! Love, Taylor.”
The visit was a bright spot in the lives of several ill children and was just the latest act of generosity the singer has been flagged for. Those have ranged from the $197 million in bonuses she gave to her crew and performers during the tour, to the $5 million she gave for hurricane relief after storms Helene and Milton devastated the South, to the $100,000 she gave to the family of a beloved local radio DJ who was fatally shot in April at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.

John Mayer, McG reportedly buy Jim Henson studio lot for $45 million
John Mayer’s body of real estate is a wonderland as the Grammy winner has finalized a deal to purchase the famed Jim Henson Company lot for an estimated $45 million.
The 47-year-old “Your Body Is a Wonderland” crooner isn’t taking over the historic Henson property on his own though. Mayer and “Supernatural” executive producer McG have finalized the deal, insiders with direct knowledge told TMZ.
Mayer, who currently has offices on the property, and the “Charlie’s Angels” director, 57, will also eventually rename the studio. Though they’ve yet to decide on the future moniker, rebranding seems to be one of the only ways in which they’ll shake up the studio.
Mayer and McG don’t intend on making waves at the lot, as sources say they want to maintain current employees and preserve the lot’s history.
Going forward, the duo will split oversight. The singer-songwriter will supervise Henson Recording Studios, previously A & M Recording Studios — where the star-studded “We Are the World” was recorded in 1985. McG meanwhile will reportedly be in charge of the lot’s other facilities.
A rep for Mayer told TMZ and The Hollywood Reporter last month that the “Daughters” singer and McG were “under contract to buy Henson Studios,” which was Charlie Chaplin Studios once upon a time.
THR said at the time that the artists were reported to be shelling out an estimated $60 million for the landmark. Prior to that, the Church of Scientology was believed to be eyeing the property.
As of 2017, the lot was valued at nearly $22 million, according to real estate filings viewed by THR.
Representatives for Mayer and McG did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
