Gloria Bacher
Gloria Jean Bacher, 73, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, in the comfort of her home and with her loving family at her side.
Born Feb. 4, 1951, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Richard Anthony Bayer and Adriana Mauro Bayer.
Gloria was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
A 1969 graduate of Butler High School, she was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. Her talents extended also to cooking, baking, and arts and crafts, the products of which she often shared with others.
She also worked over the years at Bobbie Brooks, the salon at J.C. Penney and the Medicine Shoppe.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Paul L. Bacher, whom she married in June of 1973; one son, Jason Bacher, and his wife, Ruth, of Butler; granddaughters, Aubriella and Madilynne; one brother, Richard Bayer, and his wife, Cindy, of Butler; three sisters, Juliana Blain of Butler, Diana Casey and her husband, Mike, of Butler, and Teresa Flatt of Butler; sister-in-law, Bonnie Martin, and her husband, Dave, of Butler; brothers-in-law, Tim Brown of California and Larry Blain of Butler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Brown; and two infant daughters.
BACHER — There was no public visitation for Gloria Jean Bacher, who died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, Dec. 23, at All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial took place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurses Association Western Pennsylvania, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001. The VNA kindly and lovingly cared for Gloria during the final stages of her illness.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
