Car driven into ditch on Interstate 79
A car crashed into a ditch on interstate 79 north on Dec. 17.
The crash occurred around 1 a.m. around the 82-mile marker near Cranberry Township. According to a police report, the driver of the car told state police it was “hard to see with the water flying up,” due to the rain.
The car was in the passing lane when its driver lost control and steered off the road. After the car went into the ditch, it continued moving for another 50 yards before stopping.
The car suffered damage to the front bumper, mirrors, tire deflation and one of the wheel wells.
