Marie Basehore

Marie Basehore, of Cabot, will celebrate her 100th birthday on Dec. 30.

The former Marie Rohrer was born on Dec. 30, 1924, in Harrisburg.

She married Robert W. Basehore Sr. on Sept. 11, 1948, at Second Church in Harrisburg. He is deceased.

Basehore has five children, Robert Basehore Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Basehore of Rochester, N.Y., Gary Basehore of Renfrew, Stephen Basehore of Alma, Ark., and Patricia Basehore of Green Valley, Ariz.

She also has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is a homemaker and loving matriarch.

She is a member of Meridian UP Church.

She served in World War II as a member of the Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service.
