Angela Katherine Kern, 58, of Portersville, passed away Friday evening, Dec. 27, 2024, at the Butler Memorial Hospital following an illness.

Born May 26, 1966, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Maxine Lyons Drake.

Angela enjoyed making crafts. She owned her own craft store in Portersville and enjoyed selling at craft shows.

She enjoyed going to bingo and having her cats, Buggie and Scootie, who will miss Angela.

Angela is survived by her husband, Jerome Kern, whom she married Nov. 26, 1983; her siblings, Dewey Drake of Portersville, Robert Drake of West Virginia and Tammy Drake of West Virginia; her in-laws, Robert (Karen) Kern of New Castle, Rita Hayes of Butler, Gerald (Patty) Kern of Portersville and Judy (Gary) Book of Portersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ralph W. Hayes Jr.

KERN — The family of Angela Katherine Kern, who died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, will hold a burial on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, in Coen Cemetery, Chloe, W. Va.
