Drug ring hearings waived, continued
Preliminary hearings for 10 of the 13 people charged in the second of two recent indictments in connection with operating a drug distribution ring in the county were waived or continued Monday, Dec. 30 while the remaining three are wanted on warrants.
James R. Hutchinson III, 37; Courtney A. Wilson, 33; Kelly L. Wilson, 55; Loriann McKinney; 56, Richelle A. Robertson, 38; and Rainy Marie Rose, 39, all of Butler, waived their preliminary hearings scheduled before District Judge William Fullerton.
Hearings for Butler residents Marki M. Seezox, 34; James T. Matuke III, 36; David E. Weisenstein, 35, and Amber R. Wallace, 43, of West Sunbury were continued.
Warrants have been issued for Charles C. Meinsler, 41, and Amy N. Calvert, 44, both of Butler, and Andrew J. Loeffler, 38, of Smithfield.
State police filed charges against the 13 people on Dec. 17 based on a Nov. 19 grand jury indictment alleging Seezox ran a network of people who distributed fentanyl and cocaine in the county from October 2023 to April 2024.
Matuke, Loeffler, Calvert, Rose, Weisenstein, Kelly Wilson, Courtney Wilson, Wallace Robertson, Meinsler, McKinney and Hutchinson were members of the network, according to the indictment.
Seezox, Kelly Wilson and Wallace are among 17 people charged Nov. 20 following the first round of indictments, which were also issued Nov. 19. In that indictment, Jeffrey Wilkins, 41, of York, was named as the ringleader for establishing a network of people to deliver large amounts of controlled substances from York County to Butler County and sell the drugs in Butler County.
Preliminary hearings in those cases are scheduled for Friday. The attorney general’s office is prosecuting the defendants in both indictments.
