Guidish

Kenneth Kerry Guidish, 82, of Rose Point, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at UPMC-Passavant McCandless. He was the son of the late Andy and Ethel (Kerry) Guidish and was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Butler.

He was a 1960 graduate of Slippery Rock High School. He also attended Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas. He married Linda Minteer in 1972, and they were married 52 years. He retired from the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers. He and Linda were faithful members of Grace Bible Church in New Castle. He loved woodworking and fishing, and the couple enjoyed wintering in Alabama, where Kenneth enjoyed the warmer climate. He and his wife loved going antiquing and to flea markets. He loved local history, especially Portersville history. He loved his grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a quiet gentleman who cherished time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda D. Guidish; his children, Kammie Juarez of Oklahoma, Todd Hilliard of Brookville, Pa., Rebecca Bentley of Erie, Joel Guidish and his wife, Tabitha, of New Castle; and Chelsea Guidish and her partner, Greg Brown, of New Castle; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Juarez, Nathaniel Bentley, Keith Bentley, Jeremiah Guidish and Koreen Guidish; one great-granddaughter, Audrey Bentley; his siblings, Diana Miller and her husband, Rusty Flanagin, of Portersville, Andy Guidish and his wife, Vicky, of Prospect and Joseph Guidish and his wife, Chris, of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy A. Guidish; his sister; Joan Piper; and his brother-in- law, James Miller.

GUIDISH — Friends of Kenneth Kerry Guidish, who died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, may call on the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at TURNER-HYDE FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 500 6th St., Ellwood City, with additional calling hours from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025.

Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home with Pastor John Coomber, of Grace Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Slippery Rock Township.
