Man charged in church burglary
Butler police charged a man with stealing money from a donation box at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church early Monday morning.
Joseph T. Fee III, 36 was charged with a felony count of burglary and misdemeanors institutional vandalism, intentional desecration of a venerated object and theft, and placed in the county prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Police said Fee entered the church on North McKean Street and used items he found inside to break open a donation box and take $200 to $300. Police said they quickly identified Fee as the suspect after watching video and took him into custody.
