An electrical fire on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township was quickly extinguished, but led two local fire departments to respond on New Year’s Day, according to an official.

Herman and Saxonburg fire departments were dispatched just before 11 a.m. to the 100 block of Bonniebrook Road, where they learned that the homeowner had extinguished a fire from an electrical panel.

First responders helped to ventilate the home, remaining on scene for just shy of an hour.
