Heckman

Ronald R. Heckman Sr., 87, of Butler, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at his home.

He was born Sept. 10, 1937, in New Kensington, the son of the late Robert R. and Elma (Frank) Heckman.

He retired after 35 years as a print setter for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Surviving are his wife, Linda (Brown) Heckman of Butler; daughter, JoAnn (John) Ranalli of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Jared and Jason; and a half brother, Richard (Beverly) Vargo of Philadelphia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Heckman Jr.; and his sister, Beverly Bush.

HECKMAN — Friends of Ronald R. Heckman Sr., who died Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Pastor Bob Hurd, of Whitestown Road Baptist Church, will officiate.

Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, New Kensington.
