Now, more than ever, hospitals need as many generous donors as possible to give blood to replenish depleted supplies. This month, Vitalant is holding nine blood drives in Butler County, including two in the Butler area and four in Cranberry Township.

Blood drives will take place in Butler on Jan. 9 at the Butler Eagle building, and Jan. 30 at the Butler Medical Center.

Four more will take place in Cranberry Township on Jan. 9 at Hope Evangelical Church; Jan. 20 at Ehrman Crest Elementary School, and two on Jan. 31 at the Cranberry Mall and North Catholic High School.

In addition, Buffalo Township is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, Jan. 2 at Zion Methodist Community Church, while Slippery Rock University is hosting a blood drive on Jan. 28 at the theater at Robert M. Smith Student Center, and Winfield Township is holding one Jan. 19 at St. Joseph Church.
