Jewelry and cosmetic retailer Claire’s announced it will be closing its Clearview Mall location effective Jan. 18.

According to store manager Brittany Burkhammer, the decision to close the store at 101 Clearview Circle No. 227 came at the corporate level, citing low foot traffic at the mall over the past few years.

Burkhammer said she is not aware of a new store moving into the location following the closure.

The store will be running discounts for customers until its closure she said, with sales ranging from 50% to 75% off all items in the store.

Burkhammer said she has received several complaints from her customers about the store closing, and she has been referring those people to other Claire’s locations in the area, such as the one at Grove City Premium Outlets, and the one inside Walmart in Cranberry Township, Venango County, located at 10 Kimberly Lane.
