Paul Emmett
Paul L. Emmett, 95, of Zelienople, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, while under the care of Passavant Community.
Born June 25, 1929, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William R. and Elizabeth Holmes Emmett.
Paul graduated from Mars High School in 1947, served in the U.S. Army and worked for Armco Steel in Ambridge for over 25 years. He drove school bus for Avonworth and North Allegheny school districts. Paul was a devoted member of English Lutheran Church.
He will be remembered fondly by all those who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Douglas Emmett (Lisa) of Florida, Rian Emmett (Deanna) of California and Joel Emmett (Kimberly) of Georgia; his seven grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one brother, Norman Emmett.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Gibson Emmett; his four brothers, William, Dale, John Dean and Robert; and his two sisters, Elizabeth Meinert and Ruth Higbee.
EMMETT — There will be no public visitation for Paul L. Emmett, who died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.
A memorial service will be held in Shirley and Paul’s honor at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A private interment will follow at English Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul’s honor to Passavant Retirement Benevolent Fund, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
