College roundup: Ishmael Leggett returns to lead Pitt MBB over Stanford
Ishmael Leggett scored a team-high 21 points to propel Pitt men’s basketball to an 83-68 win over Stanford on Saturday at Petersen Events Center.
It’s the Panthers’ 15th straight home victory, which required a rally after trailing by nine midway through the first half.
Leggett returned after missing the previous game against California with an ankle injury to record his fifth 20-point game of the year.
Jaland Lowe scored 16 points and had five assists and four steals for Pitt (12-2, 3-0 ACC).
Khadija Faye scored 17 points, but the Panthers were smothered Sunday in Cameron Indoor Stadium 69-31 by the No. 14 Blue Devils.
Pitt (8-8, 0-3 ACC) is still searching for its first conference win and hosts Louisville on Thursday.
