ConsumerAffairs names Pennsylvania a good state to raise family for 2025
The consumer news and review platform ConsumerAffairs has named Pennsylvania the third-best state in the nation to raise a family in 2025, trailing only Vermont and Maine in the rankings.
The report from ConsumerAffairs graded all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, in five metrics: affordability, safety, education, pediatric health care and quality of life. Pennsylvania achieved high scores in public education, safety and pediatric health care. The report mentioned Gov. Josh Shapiro’s high appropriations for K-12 education in the state’s 2024-25 budget.
For people who are curious, the worst-rated state to raise a family is California.
The report was released in December.
