SUMMIT TWP — Supervisors hosted their first regular meeting of 2025 on Monday, Jan. 6. It primarily served to ensure smooth operation of the township through the year.

■ The board approved an ordinance to put a wage increase for supervisors in effect. After reelection, supervisors will be entitled to a pay increase from a maximum of $1,875 to $3,145.

■ The board adopted a union contract for their road department. The contract will last from 2025 to 2028.

■ Supervisors renewed their agreements with the township’s engineer and building inspector for the year.

■ The purchase of a compact track loader using funds from the Local Share Account grant was approved.

The next Summit Township regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 22 at 6:45 p.m.
