Gerald E. Rudish, 84, of Cabot, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at his home.

Born Feb. 23, 1940, in New Kensington, he was the son of Paul and Anne Pacek Rudish.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy and had worked as a lineman and installer for North Pittsburgh Telephone and had also worked at Wise Machine in Butler.

He was a member of Zion Methodist Community Church. He enjoyed remote-controlled airplanes and computers.

Surviving are his son, Scott (Ruth) Rudish of Cabot; his daughter, Sue (Mike Durst) Soergel of Cabot; one brother, Larry (Roseanne) Rudish of Cabot; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Soergel, Stephanie (Ryan) Weyandt, Bradley (Amber) Soergel, Steven Rudish and Justin (Caitlin) Rudish; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mildred Edwards Rudish, on Jan. 22, 2024.

RUDISH — Friends of Gerald E. Rudish, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home with the Rev. Seth McClymonds officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion Church Cemetery.
