Dunn

Ruth Ann (Grossman) Dunn, 63, of Transfer, Pa., passed away due to a cancer-related illness, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville.

She was born in Grove City, on Feb. 5, 1961, to Melvin and Ruth (Brewster) Grossman.

Ruth was a 1979 graduate of Moniteau High School and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Upon moving to Transfer, she continued her 30-year teaching career at Reynolds School District.

Ruth was especially proud to be a loving and supportive mother to her children, Matt and Nicholle. Ruth dedicated much of her time guiding her students through Homecoming floats and prom as junior class adviser.

Ruth is survived by her son, Matt Dunn; and daughter, Nicholle (Matt) Stiadle. Also surviving are her mother, Ruth (Brewster) Grossman; brother, Melvin (Nancy) Grossman; sister, Karen (Jeff) Lyons; cousin, Missy (Skip) McCommon; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dunn; and father, Melvin Grossman.

DUNN — Visitation for Ruth Ann (Grossman) Dunn, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at OSBORNE-WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville, where a service will begin at 6 p.m.
