Tractor-trailer reportedly involved in I-79 crash
No injuries were reported when a tractor-trailer was involved in a crash along Interstate 79 in Worth Township Tuesday evening, Jan. 14.
The crash was reported around 11:23 p.m. near mile marker 101.8.
Slippery Rock Fire Chief Ryan Hanchosky said state police on the scene had requested fire and emergency services evaluations for an overturned tractor trailer in the median.
PennDOT District 10 representatives said a towing company was clearing the tractor trailer from the median around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, but did not have the name of the towing company or how long the northbound lane would be closed.
State police, the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Portersville-Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. The incident lasted a little over an hour and a half, according to police reports.
