Butler County vo-tech receives $85,000 grant from state education department
The Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School has received an $85,000 Competitive Equipment Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The grant, given out annually, assists school districts in purchasing new equipment to support their career and technical education programs. Districts with eight or more department-approved technical programs are eligible, and the maximum grant amount is $85,000.
The vo-tech school provides vocational/technical programs for students from seven school districts in Butler County — Butler Area, Karns City, Knoch, Mars Area, Moniteau, Seneca Valley and Slippery Rock.
