Homer J. Gamble, 87, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Homer was born in Freeport, Oct. 2, 1937, and was a son of the late Regina (Palyszeski) and Homer J. Gamble. He was a member of Butler Methodist Church’s God’s Country. Retiring from Freeport Transport after over 25 years as a welder, he was previously employed at Moonlight Mushrooms in the maintenance department. He always had a love for riding motorcycles. Any animal that crossed his path would have a friend.

Homer is survived by his two sons, Leonard (Tammy) Gamble, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Larry (Teresa) Gamble of Lower Burrell. He had three grandchildren, Ryan, Derek and Kimberly. Homer is also survived by five sisters, Regina (Harry) Crytzer, Elizabeth DeLeon, Carol (Bert) Micholas, Donna (Wayne) Brown and Karen Gamble; and two brothers, Donald (Ethel) Gamble and Robert (Cathy) Gamble; as well as special brother-in-law and friend, Jody Harbison.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Eleanor Huth and Cindy Harbison.

GAMBLE — At his request, there will be no public visitation or services for Homer J. Gamble, who died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025.

Memorial contributions may be made in Homer's name to K9s for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Vidra, FL 32081.
