Police: Icy patches possible amid cold weather advisory, cause morning crash in Butler
An icy patch on the bridge leading into the city of Butler’s downtown caused a vehicle to spin out and crash Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, police said.
Nobody was injured, but traffic was temporarily reduced to one lane along Route 8, near its intersection with Wayne Street.
The crash was reported shortly after 8 a.m. No other vehicles were involved.
The driver was able to leave the scene in their vehicle shortly after responders arrived. Both lanes of traffic on South Main St. were opened thereafter.
The vehicle sustained little damage.
The Butler Bureau of Fire and Butler City and the Butler city Police Department were among those called to the scene to assist.
