WPIAL wrestling team championships 2025: Results from Saturday’s championships
The WPIAL released its team wrestling brackets Thursday, and two Butler County teams will be in action next week in preliminary round matches.
In Class 3A, Butler (7-3) will take on Belle Vernon at 7:15 p.m. Monday at North Hills High School. The Golden Tornado faced North Allegheny Wednesday night with a chance to lock up the Section 4 title, but dropped a 44-24 decision.
Knoch (4-3) will begin the Class 2A tournament by traveling to Greensburg Salem for a 7:15 p.m. match Monday. The Knights clinched a postseason berth with a 59-17 victory over Summit Academy on Wednesday.
Both tournaments will culminate with semifinal and final matches Feb. 1 at Peters Township High School.
The top three Class 3A teams and top four 2A teams will advance to the PIAA tournament.
