Jan. 20 was, for some, a reason to celebrate; and for others, a time to mourn. Our past president and our new president are so different from each other. But I still have trouble trying to figure out why the left is so upset.

Are they upset that the border is going to be closed? I feel that means no more violent gang members, drug cartels, or unvetted rapists and murderers. I don’t see a problem with that. Is it the fact that we will no longer be part of the World Health Organization? COVID-19 proved that was a waste of our time and money. Is it that we will no longer be a part of the Paris Agreement? What has it gotten us? Are you worried about abortion rights? Trump believes that belongs in the hands of individual states and will never ban it. With all the birth control we have why do we even need to have abortions?

The left is also angry about President Donald Trump pardoning the Jan. 6 insurrectionists. But yet Biden pardoned murderers and rapists. At the last minute he pardoned his whole family. For what? You have to wonder. This country is going to be so much better thanks to Trump. Just wait and see.
