Sandra Weston

Weston

Sandra “Sandy” Ramine (Bloom) Weston, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at Orchard Manor in Grove City.

Born March 27, 1941, in Clearfield, Pa., Sandy was the daughter of the late Norman George Bloom and Ruth (Schandelmeier) Bloom. She grew up in Houtzdale, Pa., before moving to Butler County in the early 1960s, where she lived in Boyers and later West Sunbury.

On Oct. 21, 1960, Sandy married William “Ned” Weston, who preceded her in death in 2014. Together they raised three children, Todd Weston, Terry Weston and Tracy Tyler. Sandy was a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren and their significant others, Angie Marshall and her husband, Cody, Alan Weston and his wife, Jeanette, Heather Weston, Delaney Campbell and her fiancé, Charlie, Coty Weston and his wife, Shelby, Alexander Tyler, Danica Tyler and Dane Tyler; as well as seven great-grandchildren, James, Kaden, Christian, Everleigh, Maya, Benton and Rowan. She was also dearly loved by her siblings, N. George Bloom and his wife, Barbara, and Norma Sturm; along with many nieces and nephews.

Sandy’s legacy is one of kindness, creativity and selflessness. She was known for her artistic talents. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting, ceramics and playing the piano. Her beautiful voice also graced the choir at her church, the United Presbyterian Church in West Sunbury, where she was a member for many years. Sandy was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and canning, camping and taking walks. Sandy, most of all, cherished the time spent with her beloved family.

A gifted cosmetologist, Sandy attended cosmetology school in State College and went on to open her own salon in her home in Boyers, where she worked for many years. She also worked at Mar-Jays in the Butler Mall during the 1970s and later co-owned the Salon of Beauty in Butler until her retirement. Sandy’s warmth, caring heart and listening ear touched the lives of many, and she was always willing to put the needs of others before her own.

Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Terry; husband, Ned; parents; sister; and a niece and nephew. Her family and friends will forever remember her for the love, light and grace Sandy brought into their lives.

Sandy will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
