AHN clinicians now managing SRU student health center
Allegheny Health Network Primary Care Institute clinicians are now managing the Slippery Rock University Student Health Center, according to a SRU news release.
The clinicians will be providing on-campus access to medical care. The partnership is designed to “improve health care access and services for SRU students,” according to the release.
The student health center, led by physician Sunjay Mannan, will be staffed by AHN-registered nurses and advanced practice providers. Offered services include same-day treatment for common illnesses and injuries, preventive care such as annual physicals, screenings and immunizations, and support for students managing chronic conditions, women's health concerns and mental health challenges, according to the news release.
“This partnership exemplifies AHN's commitment to providing accessible, high-quality care to the communities we serve,” Amy Crawford-Faucher, chairwoman of AHN Primary Care Institute, said. “By bringing the expertise of AHN clinicians directly to campus, we aim to foster a healthier and even more productive learning environment for SRU students.”
