Mildred Ambrose

Mildred Irene Ambrose, 88, of Cabot, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at The Ridge At Heritage Meadows.

Born Sept. 9, 1936, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of Thomas Simmons and Mildred Bauman.

She worked for many years at the mushroom mine in Butler. Irene was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and member of her church, and she spent much of her time pursuing her hobbies.

She was wife to the late William Ambrose, Arthur Gardener and Raymond Harbison.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Harbison, Karen Harbison, Keith Harbison, Kathlene Harbison and Kurt Harbison; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, William and Dale Simmons; and one sister, Shirley Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia and Marian; her brothers, Wilmer and Vernon; as well as her son, William Ernest Burke.

AMBROSE — There will be no services scheduled for Mildred Irene Ambrose, who died Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, per the wishes of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg.
