Lawrence Lokovich

Lokovich

Lawrence “Larry” “Survivor” Paul Lokovich, 69, of Woodbridge, Va., passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.

He was the son of Paul X. Lokovich and Virginia L. (Wheeler) Lokovich and was born in Butler on Jan. 7, 1956.

After graduating from Butler High School in 1974, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic maintenance technician. Having served his country he loved so dearly for 20 years, he retired as a petty officer first class in 1994. Lawrence was a kind soul who would go out of his way to help anybody in need. He immensely cared for his family, proving it over and over by his actions. He enjoyed providing for the local birds and wildlife. Every year, Larry would make a point to go to Pennsylvania to go camping and hunting for deer. Quite often, Larry would remark how at peace he was while there.

Also, he was a lifetime member of Moose International, the Elks Lodge, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Paul X. Lokovich; and his brother, Gary L. Lokovich.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy R. (Ammerman) Lokovich; daughters, Heather Lokovich of Fayetteville, N.C., Leslie Jahns of Dallas, Texas, and Anna Brown of Louisville, Ky.; sons, Donald T. Lokovich of Louisville, Ky., and Adam L. Lokovich of King George, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He also is survived by his mother, Virginia Lokovich of Butler; and two sisters, Beth (Lokovich) Muti of Milwaukie, Ore., and Brenda (Lokovich) Keith of Butler.
